Three New Radaro Features for Safer, More Accountable Deliveries

In complex delivery operations, some of the most important moments happen before a vehicle moves and as soon as it arrives.

Has the driver completed the required safety checks before departing? Have they actually reached the correct service location? And does the business have reliable evidence of when those events occurred?

Radaro has introduced three new driver workflow features designed to give operations teams greater control and visibility at critical points in the delivery journey:

  • Safe-to-Depart Declarations

  • Driver Arrival Confirmation

  • Dynamic Proof of Delivery

Together, they help organisations ensure driver compliance and safety, create clearer driver workflows, capture more reliable operational data and build a stronger digital record of what happened in the field.

Feature 1 - Safe-to-Depart Declarations

Radaro’s new Safe-to-Depart Declaration enables businesses to introduce a mandatory declaration directly into the driver workflow before a driver can begin the relevant stage of a job.

Declarations can be configured for the pickup leg, delivery leg, or both pickup and delivery, depending on the organisation’s operational requirements.

Before proceeding, the driver is required to review and acknowledge the declaration within the Radaro App.

The declaration itself is fully customisable, including its title, supporting information and checkbox wording, allowing you to tailor them to your specific operational and compliance requirements

Safe-to-depart declarations can be used for:

  • Load restraint confirmation

  • Dangerous Goods confirmation

  • Site or induction readiness

  • Driver fatigue acknowledgement

  • Chain of Responsibility requirements

Rather than relying on a separate paper form, verbal confirmation or disconnected compliance process, the acknowledgement becomes part of completing the job itself.

Each declaration is also time-stamped and recorded, creating an auditable record that the driver provided the required acknowledgement before proceeding.

For integrated environments, declaration data can be made available via webhook, enabling it to flow into existing safety, compliance and operational systems.

GPS geofences work well in many delivery environments. But not every service location can be represented accurately by a radius around a street address.

Consider a large distribution centre, warehouse precinct or manufacturing facility. The registered address might cover an enormous site, while the actual collection point could be at a particular loading dock or entrance hundreds of metres away.

In other cases, a newly developed industrial estate or business park may have incomplete or inaccurate address information.

Radaro’s Arrived functionality gives drivers another way to confirm what is happening on the ground.

How it works

When the feature is enabled, a driver can manually select Arrived once they have reached the actual service location at either pickup or delivery. This then:

  • Captures the driver’s precise GPS coordinates at the point of arrival.

  • Records the true arrival time for accurate on-site time calculations.

  • Improves the accuracy of arrival reporting where geofence-based detection is unsuitable.

Because the Arrived button is available across both pickup and delivery legs, teams can use the same approach consistently across the entire workflow.

For integrated environments, the Arrived event can also be sent via webhook. This allows external systems to use the captured GPS coordinates and arrival timestamps to improve site records, operational reporting and performance analysis.

As part of this flexibility, the Dynamic Proof of Delivery field can be customised to capture the information that matters most to each operation.

Common examples include:
